We’ve all been there, not wanting to eat our vegetables, but the British are in a league of their own.

The Daily Mail reports that a survey of 1 500 Brits revealed that one in 20 Britons have not eaten a single green vegetable in a month or longer.

Shockingly, it’s not just veggies the British are refusing to eat, it’s anything remotely healthy.

The average British adult eats just three of the recommended five to ten portions of fruit and veg a day.

There least favourite greens on the menu are sprouts and celery.

The poll was done by UK campaign group Organic UK and also revealed that the average Briton has not eaten a meal made mostly of fresh produce in four days.

It seems Jamie Oliver was right to be concerned about what kids were being served at home and at school, because British parents don’t appear to be making healthy food choices
